For most of us, our jobs keep us sitting or just in one place. So having a fun date that gets you moving is always ideal. Especially if you two are naturally active already. Here are 30 Active Date Ideas to get you going! Sometimes dinner and movie is fun, but for many others, that’s all date night ever consists of. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love the variety of dates this list gives you. They are perfect for keeping active and healthy together, one date at a time! This is one I particularly enjoy when we just need to get out the house for a few minutes. This one you can make as short or as long as you want. We love to get snowballs after to cool off on a hot day. Got bikes collecting dust in the garage? Bust them out, pump up the tires and go a ride! Even if you don’t have bikes, most major cities have the rental bikes and for fairly cheap bikes too! About as simple as you can get. Just lace up your shoes, do a little stretch, and off you go! This is another date that can be as long or as short as you want. Join a running club and meet new friends! By far one of my favorites, but I’m sure I’m just bias. I’m always amazed at God’s beauty around us. A lot of times, all it takes is just getting ourselves out there to explore it and appreciate it. You can even pack a lunch and do a picnic! (Can you tell all I think about is food! :P) Dont think you have to be experienced with this! There are tons of places that offer super easy to advanced walls to climb. After, go get some frozen yogurt. You deserve a little treat! You or your spouse love shooting guns? Make a date at the shooting range and practice together. Let them teach you or you teach them and then see who does the best! Be a little kid again, and race your heart out! This one is for anyone competitive, but just don’t be a sore loser as they are no fun! Make it a budget friendly date by checking Groupon for discounts! Look on Youtube, Instagram, you’ll find thousands of fitness gurus posting countless videos of partner workouts. Choose one and try it just for giggles. 🙂 Roller skating or skateboarding around your neighborhood is a nice leg workout for you and your spouse. Relive those childhood memories of rollerskating to your friends house. Just remember to watch out for the uneven ground or slight bumps. 🙂 These are becoming so popular! Test your balance and agility with all the different obstacles these courses have to offer. Never leave the comforts of your house while you get your bowl on! ( or whatever’s your preference). If you don’thave one, borrow one from a friend and invite them over for a game night! You don’t even have to leave your home for a fun workout. Surprise your partner with a swift whack and let the fun ensue! haha! ok, ok, you might want to make sure your partner is ready for this date. This was so much fun for us! We were able to rent the kayaks, so no worries about buying one. We kayaked along the Bayou St. John and were able to take in the sites of our city. We met a lovely couple from Michigan and after, went out to eat pizza with them. It turned out to be a great date, and a lovely arm workout. Dont forget to Groupon! It’s how we were able to kayak for super cheap! Another great workout and you can rent these as well. That means you don’t need to buy it or transport them. Just show up, and get going. Of course, there is some seasonal things to add to the list. Since it’s only around for a short time, definitely take advantage of it while you have it! That’s if you experience snow, then skiing or sledding is a perfect choice and a great workout! We had a blast with this. I planned this as a surprise for my husband. We had a nice photoshoot and then I busted out some water guns and we had at it! Those became our favorite pictures because it reminded us of all the fun we had! Use water balloon or water guns and run around like crazy. Swimming in the pool can be a fun way to cool off during the summer making this a perfect date idea! You’re bound to know at least one person with a pool, so make it a group date. They provide the pool, you provide the food. Not all of God’s beauty is on land, some of the most amazing is below the water. This a popular summer activity down here in Louisiana. Just grab a tube, and some friends and go tubing down the river. Now some may say, that’s not that active, but you’d be surprised! How I imagine golfing will go for me! haha! I personally haven’t done this one yet, but it’s on the list! Personally, I want to see how horrible I am and I’m sure we will have a lot of laughs. See! That’s the point of this dates, not to be the best but just have fun and spend quality time together. This loops all those other sports into one. If one of you loves basketball, go throw some hoops together at the playground. If one of you loves football, play some tackle football in the backyard. You don’t have to make it fancy or spend hours planning it to have a good time. This is an epic group date, especially if you want to make it drunken kickball. There’s tons of different ways to play it, and all you need is a field. They even have adult kickball leagues here in New Orleans, so I’m sure you can join on in your city too! Also known as disc golf, this a fun group date as well. All you need is a frisbee and friends. Then head over the park to test your abilities in this different version of golf. Take your spouse to the bowling lanes. Grab yourself some sexy bowling shoes and show them how to throw a strike. It’s ok if you granny shot it down the lane. Whatever works! As long as you’re both having a good time! Bring friends to really rev up the competition! My husband swears this is a great idea, and I’m sure anyone that plays will think it is too! One of the more daring, fast paced dates but surely a fantastic time. This one is another great couples date or group date. Don’t think “you’re going down!!!” doesn’t come out of our mouth many times, and then we write 5 strokes on our score card. Haha! But seriously, super fun. We like to make bets for each other. Get creative with “If I win, you have to…” Not only treat your partner, but treat your doggies too! Take a ride in the car, and go to a new park or playground. Then stop for a pup treat, and maybe even get a treat for you too. Have a dance party in your living room or head out to a club. You can do zumba class or play a dance game on your gaming system. Just let loose and show them all your cool dance moves 🙂 Ladder toss? Corn hole? Anyone? Some are super cheap like this or this one! Or if you are feeling crafty, make your own backyard games! DIY & Crafts shows you got make 35 ridiculously fun outdoor games for adults and kids. Oh man! Do we trash talk like no one’s business with this one! This will totally make you feel like a kid again and get some exercise in. This one is great as a group date! Do boys against girls or couples vs couples. Lagnaippe = meaning “extra” Especially here in New Orleans, there are tons of things to do. A lot of times, we take for granted all the things that we have. We think “oh we live here, we can do that any day,” but we never do it! Or we think it won’t be as fun since we are from here, but I bet you it’s more fun than you think! Go walk around town. Go do something in your city that is known to be touristy. You’ll be surprised all the people you can meet from other cities. Pass on some other great recommendations, and I’m sure you’ll have a good time! What’s your favorite date to do with your partner? Want more date ideas? Go Here Want delicious recipes? These dates are GREAT! I especially love the idea of being a tourist. I actually mentioned that to my husband last week! We live in a beach town so it would be a great staycation. Can’t wait to try some of these out!

Those are all great dates ideas. This year, my goal was to learn how to ride a bike, yes, I don’t know how to. Maybe, I should have a date with him, to teach me.
