50 States Before 50

My traveling goals include visiting all 50 states before the age of 50. Here’s my list and some links to my adventures. My ultimate bucket list started small and eventually spiraled to the massive list it is today. But it all started with this list. One of my first big traveling goals included visiting all 50 states before the age of 50. It became about when a friend posted about a little quiz on the internet to see how many states a person has visited.( You know the ones I’m talking about!) My family and I would vacation each year so I didn’t think it would be too terrible. Shockingly, being from New Orleans, I haven’t traveled to many states. We’ve traveled to many different cities, but mostly visited only Southern states. (Our favorite state was Florida and their beaches.) We visited the same states over and over again. (Bummer) Since road trips were my only way of travel, so it did make it more difficult to see all the United States. After overcoming my irrational fear of flying, I took my first airplane flight at 27. From that one flight, my itch to see and travel the world has grown more and more. I decided I wanted to see as much as I can, while I am able and healthy. So, here’s a list of all 50 states including Washington, DC. States will be checked off as I go and then adventures will be added as links. The only rules I have for a state to count is to spend the night or whole day in the state. (so plane layovers, drive through the states don’t count). Wish me luck!
