Move over cheeseburgers, fajita turkey burgers are a fun alternative to regular burgers. Grilled onions and bell peppers with homemade fajita seasoning, add some pepper jack cheese for an extra little spice. Top your burger with all your favorite toppings. Delicious! Move over cheeseburgers! Fajita Turkey Burgers are here for the long haul! These juicy burgers are the perfect way to spice up a burger night in a much healthier way. A nice variation from the normal take of fajitas. Instead of a tortilla wrap, it comes on a bun, piled high with grilled peppers and onions. So delicious! You can bake them, grill them in a pan, skillet, or bbq grill. The burgers are perfectly seasoned with a Mexican flair! You can certainly make them spicier by adding cayenne peppers or saute’ jalapeños to put on top! Of course you can use regular ground beef if you prefer but turkey burgers are just a healthier alternative with all the flavor. We love tacos and chicken fajitas. They are so easy to make and so colorful. Tacos are just our go to because we believe everyday should be taco Tuesday. But sometimes a gal just needs a nice juicy burger. This turkey burgers combine two of our favorite things, chicken fajitas and turkey burger to create the ultimate meal. Lunch or dinner these burgers are perfect for satisfying all those cravings. Making your own fajita seasoning isn’t as hard as it sounds, most spices you’ll probably already have on hand. The toppings and amount of spice is up to you! If you like it extra spicy, add in a bit of cayenne or tony’s or just add sauteed jalapenos to your peppers and onions. The toppings are what make the fajita turkey burger burst with flavor. Cheeses, peppers, avocados are among the favorites here. Your choice of bun is really up to you. White or wheat buns are the typical ones you see but I think a pretzel bun would be fantastic! Or to make it even more low carb, just eating the burger piled high with the toppings works just as good or making a burger wrapped in lettuce. Did I mention these turkey burgers are amazing on top of a salad? Tortilla wrap it or just shove that burger into a taco. Combine all ingredients for turkey burger. mix well. Form 4 burger patties Bake 350F for 30 mins or skillet 6 mins on each side. For fajita topping, pour olive oil into skillet. Heat over medium heat. Add peppers and onion. Coat with olive oil. When starts to sizzle, add water just to coat bottom of pan. Cook till onions are translucent. As water evaporates, stir frequently till peppers are soft and slight charring happens. place burger bun, add lettuce, tomato, guacamole, then burger, pepper jack cheese, and fajita topping. Enjoy!
