Fireball hot toddy is a delicious hot toddy recipe to cure those winter colds. Made with fireball, water, lemon and honey for an ultra soothing holiday cocktail. This hot toddy recipe couldn’t come at a more perfect time. Tis the season for colds and the flu. You know that lovely time where your kids and coworkers decide to share a little too much with you. Let’s not forget husbands! As my husband likes to say, “We go through the good AND the bad TOGETHER.” Well gee, thanks. haha! Well he decide to share his bad with me and now I’m in need of something to make me feel better. Fireball Hot Toddy is the holiday cocktail of comfort food. It’s warm, soothing, delicious and very simple to make! Just boil water, add fireball, honey and lemon into the water and stir until honey is dissolved. My throat felt so much relief with the warmth of the drink mixed with the honey and lemon. I could feel it warm my soul in this chilly weather. I know some people don’t like the bite of Fireball, but it felt more like I was drinking a cinnamon tea. It gives it more of cinnamon flavor than anything. I barely realized it was an alcoholic beverage. (It could have been the cold!) I had to control myself on not making too many! For garnish, (you know I love garnishes) I added honey to the rim and cinnamon sugar. It added to the cinnamon flavor but as harsh as the fireball. A warm soothing delicious hot toddy recipe perfect for cold winter nights. Garnish with honey and cinnamon sugar for addition cinnamon flavor. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Pour into mug, and add fireball, lemon and honey. Stir till honey is dissolved. Taste and adjust to preference. Garnish the rim with honey and cinnamon sugar or cinnamon stick. You can also add anise stars for more spice. If you are just tuning in for 25 Drinks of Christmas, don’t forget to check out all the other Christmas party drinks.
