Sheet pan pancakes are the best way to serve a crowd or meal prep for the week. Start with a simple pancake batter, add some toppings and bake! Everyone loves pancakes. They are a delicious breakfast and fairly simple to make each morning. However, they do take a little time when you are doing each pancake individually and there’s always that first pancake debacle. That one that tests the heat of the pan. It comes out burnt or less than perfect. The beauty of sheet pan pancakes is they all bake at the same time. There is no initial burnt pancake. They all bake beautifully and are perfectly fluffy every time. Having all the pancakes done at the same time SAVES time and you can make multiple different flavors all at once! Use sheet pan pancakes to feed a crowd or meal prep for the week. The ingredients are simple and you probably have most in your pantry. You can certainly use premade pancake batter as well, but homemade just always takes the (pan)CAKE! 🙂 Toppings have never been easier and the options are endless. From fruits to sauces to nuts, you’ll find something delicious to add to your pancake. You can make them super healthy by adding protein powder and fruits or make it more for your sweet tooth cravings with chocolate chips or caramels. Since the sheet pan is big, you don’t have to choose just one! Try a bit or both. You can spread different toppings over half, fourths, or make the whole pan the same. (or you can try my pancake pizza!) Below are some ideas for toppings for your pancakes. Making pancakes has never been easier. You can always opt to use a premade pancake mix, but I find homemade is best. This pancake recipe is super easy to whip up in minutes. In fact, it’ll be quicker than it takes to preheat your oven. So get that oven heating up to 425F. Grab a sheet pan that has a bit of a lip to it at least 3/4 inch. (like these). You can grease the pan and/or add parchment paper on the bottom for easier cleanup. Set it aside and let’s start working on the batter. In a large bowl, mix together some of the dry ingredients. This will be the sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until combined. Next, add the buttermilk. I like to keep buttermilk powder on hand instead of actual buttermilk since I do not use it often. Buttermilk powder easily mixes with water and the powder has an incredible shelf life. Mix it together until combined and you can see the pancake batter consistency starting to take form. Now we will add the rest of the ingredients. The eggs, vanilla extract, and sugar are next, and whisk together until thoroughly combined. Now we can pour the batter into our sheet pan and start adding our toppings. This is where your creativity comes in and you sprinkle as much as your heart desires. You can add toppings in sections to get a variety for each morning or for each person in the family. The options are endless. When the oven is ready, bake for 12-17 until golden brown. It depends on the oven and your preference of golden brown. As long as the toothpick comes out clean, you’re good to go! Pancakes are a simple breakfast that just became even more simple and can whip up quickly! Perfect for customizing with different toppings to feed the whole family! Preheat oven to 425F. Grease and/or line pan with parchment paper. In a large bowl, add in sifted flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix together. Add in buttermilk, mix until blended Add in eggs, vanilla extract and sugar. Mix until combined. Pour in greased sheet pan and add desired toppings. Bake 12-17 minutes until golden brown. Total amount for toppings will be dependent on size of the toppings. Big slices of strawberries you might need more than chocolate chips. It also depends on how many different toppings you will do as well. add more flour if still super runny. The mix should be fluid but have some thickness to it Need more delicious recipes? Go here Want to spice up date night? Go here Starting a bucket list? Go here Got the travel bug?
