This easy no-bake, one-pan dessert is perfect for any party when you want to make something quick and easy. Sometimes the simplest desserts can be the most delicious! Like this Strawberry Icebox Cake. Layers of whipped cream, strawberries and graham crackers! So good! Now don’t be fooled by those graham crackers! While you make think it’s weird to have a cracker in a cake, the graham crackers work perfectly, as they soften with the layers of cream and strawberries. This makes them cake-like without going through all the work of making a cake. I consider this a big win! Simple is the name of the game, but since it is so simple, I prefer to make my own whipped cream because it doesn’t call for many more ingredients, easy to whip up and nothing beats the freshness of homemade whipped cream. If you don’t want to make your own whipped cream, a tub of Cool Whip will do just fine. 🙂 Other simple desserts are Apple Nachos, a family favorite, cinnamon roll cookies, a party favorite! Hosting a party? Make a party drink! Aside from it being super simple to make, here are some things that have helped to make this cake even easier! Place the beaters in the freezer. This will help make the process even quicker if you make your own whipped cream. Before you add the first layer of graham crackers in the pan, spread a super thin layer of whipped cream. This will help the graham crackers stay in place when you add the next layer. Make it in a glass dish! It’s so pretty to see all the layers of the cake. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese. Then add powdered sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Beat until combined and forms stiff peaks. in a 9 x13 in pan. Spread a super thin coat of whipped cream. Then, Line bottom with graham crackers. Spread layer of whipping cream mixture, then add slices of strawberries. Repeat layers of graham crackers, whipping cream and strawberries until bowl is full. End with strawberries on top. Feel free to add crushed graham crackers or other fruit like blueberries on top for garnish. Need more delicious recipes? Go here Feel like spicing up date night?
