You know the grandparents love to spoil those kiddos. Let them take your offspring for a few hours while you and your spouse have some quality time together. You might even be able to make this a monthly thing. One weekend a month, you watch all the kids while your child’s friend’s parents have a night out and then vice versa. You’ll enjoy the free time and your kids will enjoy having their friends to hang out with. Let your sitter take the kids out and you have a nice night at home cuddled up with your loved one. Sneak out a few hours early from and meet up with your loved one for some good one on one time. Are you able to take a long lunch? Do it, and head over to your spouse and have some lunch together. You’d be surprised how nice and refreshing it is to have lunch kid free. Got vacation days leftover you need to use? or by miracle, you have some sick days? We all need a sanity day, to keep us from getting sick anyway. Why not use those days at the same time and go make a day of it. Go to the park, catch a movie, get a massage. Another idea is each choose something to do for the day, and try to do both. Enjoy the time being together. By planning ahead and setting up something special, it gets you excited and ready to stay up late. Don’t work the normal Monday-Friday? Get a holiday that the kids don’t? Use it to your advantage for an outing. Sure you have errands to run, but nothing beats time with your best friend. you already have a sitter, saw the teacher, why not make the most of the night. Head out for dinner or dessert after, or a show, or even just a drink at a bar. You always at every practice cheering your child on, but what about cheering your spouse on? Your spouse needs quality time just as much as your child, why not skip a practice to give your guy and gal some love. Trust me, it will give them all the feels. There you have it!
