A delightfully fruity whiskey cocktail perfect for sipping through Christmas day or a holiday party. The weather finally made up its mind here in New Orleans and has decided to stay cold. For once, our weather isn’t fluctuating up and down 20 degrees each day! It makes it easier to plan your day and your wardrobe. I can now wear all my cute Christmas attire, scarves and all! Holiday parties are in full swing! Our weekends have been booked with work Christmas parties and friend’s ugly sweater parties and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m not quite a whiskey drinker. I’ll have a sip every now and then but this winter bourbon punch… I could get used to! My sister LOVES a good whiskey drink so she made sure I didn’t leave her first love out of the Christmas drinks list! It all starts with raspberry preserves or raspberry jam. Since fresh fruit isn’t exactly plentiful, a jam is the perfect solution with this frigid cold weather. For a punch, you need some flavor, I went with raspberry, but you could really use any jam or preserve you have on hand. Raspberry and orange are perfect pair. The sweetness with a little tart highlight the bourbon beautiful and brings this drink to a whole new level. I used both the raspberry and the orange as garnish and ingredient in the drink to add a brightness to this cocktail. I wouldn’t consider myself a huge bourbon fan. I tend to love the more sweet drink that mask the kick of bourbon. But this drink has less of a punch than vodka and tequila and a distinct flavor that’s absolutely delicious when well mixed. It’s bright and fruity but not too sweet and not to strong and SO easy to make! This drink isn’t just special on Christmas. I think this drink will be perfect year round! Better yet, make it for New Years Eve for a spectacular night with friends! Cheers! A light fruity cocktail that is not too sweet with bourbon and flavors of raspberry and orange. Perfect winter cocktail for all holiday celebrations. In a shaker filled with ice. Add in bourbon, preserves, triple sec, club soda, and orange juice. Shake vigorously. Strain into glass filled with ice. Garnish as desired. If you are just tuning in for 25 drinks of Christmas, don’t forget to check out all the other Christmas party drinks. This is Day 15 of holiday cocktails so you have plenty left to enjoy! Great question! It really depends on who you ask. My recommendation would be to multiply the ingredients by how many guests are coming. I would mix together everything in a blender except the ice and club soda. This will help combine everything unless you have a pitcher with a lid you trust to shake it. Chill the punch until the party begins. Right before the guests arrive, add in the club soda and stir thoroughly. This is to help keep the fizz factor to the drink. The real debate comes with adding ice or not because of how it can be diluted. I found this article most helpful with it all. Best of luck! https://imbibemagazine.com/batching-cocktails/

Loved It! I had to make a couple of changes. I didn’t have any raspberry jam so used strawberry jam. 2nd I only used 1 TB of jam because my husband and I aren’t overly found of sugary sweet drinks. With these small changes this drink was perfect.

Yum! I just made this with some left over cranberry sauce because I had no jam… highly recommend.
Love the idea of batching in the blender. Going to try that for thanksgiving.
Oh… and I forgot the club soda… guess I’ll have to make another one! -
Amazing! I tested out a few recipes to figure out my signature Christmas party drink and this was the winner! Thank you for answering Michelle’s question about regarding making for a crowd. I’m trying it in a blender, putting it in a pitcher without ice and adding the soda water right before guests arrive.
