Raspberry & Blood Orange Bundt Cake

A delightful, dense, moist bundt cake made with sweet blood oranges and raspberries with a blood orange glaze.

Blood Orange & Raspberry Cake

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp juice of blood orange
  • 2 tsp blood orange rind
  • 5.3 oz plain greek yogurt or sour cream 1 individual cup
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cup raspberries


  • 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 of a blood orange- juiced
  • 2-4 tsp heavy cream


  1. Heat oven to 350F. Grease 10 in bundt pan and set aside. 

  2. Whisk the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars and blood orange zest together until fluffy. 

  4. Add in eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully. Then add vanilla and blood orange juice.  

  5. Slowly add in dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Once fully combined, add in sour cream. 

  6. Last fold in raspberries, gently stirring them into the batter. Batter will be thick. 

  7. Pour/scoop batter into baking pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes or till toothpick come out clean. 

To make Blood Orange Glaze:

  1. Combine confectioners sugar, blood orange juice, and heavy cream. 

  2. Once cake has cooled, Spoon glaze in the middle of the cake letting it drizzle down the sides. Garnish with raspberries and blood orange slices.
