Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

A moist dense buttery pound cake filled with chocolate chips and topped with a creamy chocolate frosting.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cup flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease bundt pan and set aside

  2. In a large bowl, cream softened butter, oil, granulated and brown sugar. Beat for 2-3 mins.

  3. Add in eggs one at a time and combine.

  4. Next, add in sour cream and vanilla extract. Set aside.

  5. In a small/medium bowl, whisk together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt)

  6. Now, add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, add half at a time mixing thoroughly in between.

  7. Gently stir in chocolate chips.

  8. Pour into bundt pan and bake for 40-50 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.
